Paediatric occupational therapists work with children and their families to identify strengths, understand challenges, and build skills that support independence, wellbeing, and participation in daily life.
At Little Stomps we can support children with:
Emotional regulation
Attention and concentration
Sensory processing differences
Fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting, using scissors)
Gross motor skills and coordination
Self-care skills such as dressing, eating, and toileting
Play and social skills
Executive functioning and organisation
Our approach is child-centred, strengths-based, and tailored to each child's unique needs, helping them thrive at home, at school, and in their community.

We work with children from birth through to 18 years across a wide range of presentations including autism, developmental delay, sensory processing differences, ADHD, and children who are pre-diagnosis and navigating that uncertain in-between period.
You do not need a diagnosis to get in touch. If something feels harder than it should for your child, that is enough of a reason to reach out.
We also work closely with parents and caregivers, because the most powerful therapy happens at home, not just in the clinic.
We welcome children with a range of diagnoses as well as those who are awaiting assessment or don't yet have a diagnosis. If you're unsure whether OT is right for your child, we're happy to have a chat.

Yes. We welcome both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Occupational therapy services can be funded through your NDIS plan where they align with your child's goals and support needs. If you're unsure whether your funding can be used for OT services, we're happy to discuss your circumstances and help you understand your options.

Some families may be eligible for a Medicare rebate through a referral and care plan from their GP. Eligibility requirements apply, and Medicare rebates generally cover only a portion of the session fee. We recommend speaking with your GP to determine whether your child qualifies. If you have questions about funding options, please contact us and we can guide you through the process.

No referral is needed to book an initial assessment at Little Stomps OT. You can get in touch directly and we will take it from there.iption

Sessions at Little Stomps OT are play-based and child-led. To your child it looks like fun. To me it is carefully designed therapy building real skills and foundations.
We also work closely with parents and caregivers throughout, because the strategies you carry into everyday life make more difference than anything that happens in the clinic.

The initial assessment is our first proper chance to get to know your child and for you to tell us everything you have been noticing.
It takes around 90 minutes and includes:
A conversation with you about your child's history, strengths and challenges
Observation of your child through play and activity
Standardised assessments where relevant
A discussion of findings and next steps
Afterwards you will receive a written summary of what we found and what we recommend.
You do not need to prepare anything. Just come as you are. We go at your child's pace from the very first session.
